Summer is fast approaching, and we can’t wait! It may seem cold outside but we’re racing through the year, even with the extra day that got thrown at us on 29^th February. Pretty soon it’ll all be Pimms and lemonades, trips to the seaside and the swinging summer party!

It got us thinking, what is it that we most look forward to every summer?  

 We’ve put together these top 5 must haves for summer parties and would love to hear if you agree with our choices. Being a swing band, we have of course snuck a little soulful swing music in there too!

1. THE SEASIDE

Being a swing band available for hire across the UK, we’re lucky enough to travel all over the country to get guests dancing, For us, there’s nothing better than being booked for a seaside town in the height of summer!

2. ICE CREAMS

Not just any ice cream – the premium tubs of proper Cornish-style ice cream in a waffle cone. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

3. A COLD DRINK

Whether it’s sat out by the town band-stand or sunbathing in your own garden, nothing beats an ice cold beverage in the sun. Even the non-alcoholic versions have their place – freshly made lemonade on a summer’s day is just perfection.

4. BRIGHT SUNSHINE

We’re lucky enough to play hundreds of private parties and weddings throughout the year and as a swing band, there’s always something special about being hired to play outside with the sun on your back and the revellers dancing under a bright blue sky.

5. LONGER DAYS

What better thing to look forward to than actually having more daylight for your swinging summer party? We dream about playing those beautiful summer weddings that go on long into the evening.
